The potential nominee “short list” of people who may replace Retiring Justice Stevens includes Diane Wood of the 7th Circuit, Solicitor General Elana Kagan, Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm and Merrick Garland of the DC Circuit Court of Appeals. So how do these names vet & blend into the existing court?
